Taylah Murtagh

TAYLAH'S  STORY

Taylah began training with Dytie in 2021 when she was just 14 years old.  Taylah made the State Development Program training squad but missed out on final state selection. She continued to grow as a player, competing for her local Traralgon squad team and playing U18s for Nunawading in the VJBL. At the time, she had no aspirations or belief that she could play college basketball in the USA. However, after four years of training with Dytie, she developed the mindset, self-belief, and skills needed to pursue that dream. Taylah and her parents decided to take a short USA college tour, after which she received multiple scholarship offers. With Dytie’s guidance on what criteria to consider, Taylah chose Williston State College, where she has become a starting-five player, appearing in every game and making significant contributions as a high scorer and assist leader in her first year. Recently, Taylah has been selected at a Division 1 College in New York State.
