We are the Australian representative for Axis Sports Academy (Phoenix, USA), an elite preparatory school that offers training camps of various lengths, giving athletes the opportunity to perform in front of USA college scouts.

XXII Basketball Academy has been founded by Michael “Dytie” Dyt.
Born and raised in the Latrobe Valley, Dytie is well known in basketball circles as both an experienced player and coach of both juniors and seniors.
As a player, Dytie was one of the first basketballers from Gippsland to be scouted and the first to complete, a USA College Basketball Scholarship. Dytie commenced at Husson University (Maine) in 1995, graduating in 1998 having played 82 games.
Dytie continues to play in various Masters tournaments, including starting five on the Australian 50+ team at the 2025 FIMBA tournament held in Switzerland.

In addition to Dytie’s extensive basketball experience, he was also a personal trainer for over 20 years, certified in 1 on 1 Personal training, Nutrition, Sports Conditioning, Sports Management, Specialised Children's training. With a Science degree in Sports Management and Diplomas in Health Science and Fitness, Dytie has the knowledge and experience to develop the ‘whole’ athlete, on and off the court.
XXII BA operates out of CME Fit on Franklin, 15 Davidson St Traralgon.
Our facilities include a dedicated basketball training area, access to a full range of gym equipment, strength and conditioning room as well as use of changeroom and ancillary facilities.
